Cerbere Location.
Cerbere is served by an international railway station with access from Barcelona, Girona, Perpignan etc. It is possible to arrive at the airport catch a train to Cerbere and then walk less than 5 minutes to the house. Cerbere is part of the 'Reserve Marine de Cerbere-Banyuls', it is a typical French fishing village only recently affected by the tourist industry. Cerbere is ideal for those interested in a more natural holiday, walking, cycling and exploring. There is a bus service (a few per day) to Perpignan via the coast presently only 1 Euro per jorney. The locals are pleasant and happy to tell you about their town if you speak to them in French they appreciate your efforts. Cerbere is the last town on the coast before you reach Spain. If you do arrive by car then do as the locals do and pop over to Spain to fill your tank. The petrol station is on the road between Cerbere (the last village in France) and Portbou (the first village in Spain) and less than 10 mins drive away.
